Required Documents - H Visa Applicants

Applicants will need to submit the following documents when they appear for an interview:

FROM THE APPLICANT

  • Original H Notice of Action (Form I-797)
  • Diploma or other professional credentials
  • Labor book (‘trudovaya knizhka’)
  • Evidence of experience in proposed field of work: resume, current job letter, letters of recommendation from previous employers, publications, work-related correspondence, etc.

FROM THE AMERICAN COMPANY

  • Copy of H petition (Form I-129) submitted to DHS and all other supporting documents filed with I-129.

    APPLICATIONS BY FAMILY MEMBERS
  • Original Notice of Action (Form I-797)
  • Proof of relationship to primary applicant (marriage certificate, civil passport, birth certificate, etc.)
  • Photocopy of primary applicant’s H visa
  • Evidence of primary applicant’s current employment in the U.S. (recent paychecks or letter from the employer)

If the primary applicant’s H visa was not issued in St. Petersburg, all documents listed on this form must be presented.

Please note that the consular officer may require additional documentation. Also be aware that presentation of documents does NOT guarantee visa issuance.

Required Documents - L Visa Applicants

Applicants will need to submit the following documents when they appear for an interview:

FROM THE APPLICANT

  • Original L Notice of Action (Form I-797)
  • Diploma or other professional credentials
  • Labor book (‘trudovaya knizhka’)
  • Evidence of experience in proposed field of work: resume, current job letter, letters of recommendation from previous employers, publications, work-related correspondence, etc.

FROM THE AMERICAN COMPANY

  • Copy of L petition (Form I-129) submitted to DHS and all other supporting documents filed with I-129.
  • The company’s tax returns covering the most recent two years.

FROM THE RUSSIAN COMPANY

  • Company payroll records for the last year
  • Company brochures, leaflets
  • Company financial information

APPLICATIONS BY FAMILY MEMBERS

  • Original Notice of Action (Form I-797)
  • Proof of relationship to primary applicant (marriage certificate, civil passport, birth certificate, etc.)
  • Photocopy of primary applicant’s L visa
  • Evidence of primary applicant’s current employment in the U.S. (recent paychecks or letter from the employer)

If the primary applicant’s L visa was not issued in St. Petersburg, all documents listed on this form must be presented.

Please note that for L blanket petition visas, the new fee of $500 is to be paid after the interview.
